Łukasz Morawski, born on 15 February 1964 in Zabrze,
earned a Diploma in Painting at the State High School of Fine Arts in Wrocław  under the supervision of Prof. Konrad Jarodzki in 1988. In 1999, he defended a doctoral dissertation in the field of artistic painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where he habilitated in 2008. It is also there that he has been running a drawing studio at the Chair of Painting and Sculpture since 2009.
